TorrentBit was added to TorrentFly

December 9th, 2009

Some weeks ago TorrentBit was added to TorrentFly (http://torrentfly.org) real time torrent search engine.
It gives a unique possibility to TorrentFly users to search TorrentBit directly from the searcher.
Here how it works. Users types search query on the TorrentFly. TorrentFly server automatically in background gets RSS search feed from a dozen of torrent download sites (Torrentbit is among them now) then parses all the data and exactly torrent name, torrent link, leech ratio etc, groups all the data and shows in a pretty readable way to user. All the torrent data comes as XML so Real Time Torrent Searcher has to parser RSS feed using standard functions.
As we knew TorrentFly caches results. That means that it saves RSS output for every site for every query on it`s local for some hours. That helps to provide high speed operation and satisfy users with quick query search.

BTW, if you have your own real time torrent search site and any other torrent search site and you would like to include torrentbit.nl in your list you can use our public torrent search feeds located here http://www.torrentbit.nl/webmasters/
We have different option that will allow you to filter adult results if you prefer to avoid showing adult related bittorrent files and you can set sorting order by seeds number for example.

Thank you for having time to read it :)

Torrent Downloading through the encrypted SSL channel

October 21st, 2009

TorrentBit is now offering torrent file downloading through the SSL connection.
All you need is just clicking a blue button “Secure Download” while browsing torrent download page on our site. For example here:
PC Optimizer Pro torrent download

As you know in some cases your ISP may sniff your internet traffic and check what you are doing in the Internet. And if they notice that you are downloading torrent file for copyrighted material this may be a reason for prosecution.
Downloading torrent file through the SSL channel is a first basic step for your personal security. Of course it will not hide all your bittorrent traffic completely from internet service provider but it will not allow ISP to detect you downloading torrent meta-file.

Your security and anonymity is among our main goals so we will update you more and more with our new site features that will help you stay protected while downloading through bittorrent p2p protocol.

Btw, we have a very good RSS search feed and if you like to add our site torrents in your torrent searcher you are always welcome to contact us.

TorrentBit Foundation

September 7th, 2009

year 2006 – We started as a small private file exchange community.

Since 2009 we came on public as a torrent indexing site. We set our main principle as “surfer oriented resource”. That`s why we try to provide the most comfortable and handy service for user, everything else is a question of minor importance. You won`t meet annoying popups and popunders on our site, you won`t see disgusting porn banners.

There is a small but cohesive group of experienced people behind this site and they got a plenty of ideas to implement here and make the site more purposeful and unique. We acquired good skills while managing different p2p projects (private trackers, eMule servers…)
We will keep you informed here about all new inventories.

Welcome to the Torrent Bit
